Robin Gutierrez has had a lifelong passion for cultivating coffee. Since working on the farm at the age of 13 with his father, he has dedicated his whole life to producing high-quality coffee. These years of experience are reflected in the quality of the cup but also in the community Robins created on the farm. He can introduce every picker by name and has gone as far as to construct a pizza oven to share food with the community.
The farm began with Robin’s grandfather who started producing coffee in the area years ago. The farm was eventually given to Robin’s father before finally being given to Robin.
Robin has four lots in Agua Dolce, a valley in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala, with La Reforma being one of these lots. He uses these different lots to experiment with different varietals and growing practices in order to produce the best coffee. The coffee we are bringing you is called La Reforma Floral, it is a very small separation of the best Caturra for this lot and we are extremely excited to share it with you.
