This coffee is the first year of harvest from a new cooperative washing station named Gore Dako, located in Agaro Gera, Jimma Zone, Ethiopia. Geographically, Gore Dako lies in an area that borders Goma, home of the forest that contains Duromina and Hunda Oli, two world-renowned cooperatives.
Agaro Gera is a zone synonymous with some of the finest cooperatives in Ethiopia, such as Nano Chella, Kola Bolcha, and Biftu Gudina. Cooperatives that have proven the area produces delicious, high-quality coffee. Now Gore Dako joins their ranks.
The cooperative provides a platform for small farms in the area to have the quality of their coffee recognized and be properly compensated for their hard work. In turn, we are able to get incredibly high-quality and unique coffee beans from the region.
We’re excited to be able to bring you this coffee and we’re looking forward to more incredible harvests from the young cooperative, Gore Dako. We hope you’re excited too!
